Main heading on http://plugins.qgis.org has a typo:
Welcome the the new QGIS Web Application

Should be "...to the..."

You can change home page contents yourself, just log into the control panel and change the page content as you wish.

http://plugins.qgis.org/admin

change the "Flat pages" "/" item.
