Return option to view items on canvas in attribute table

Description

I find myself missing the ability to have the attribute table display only the items on the current canvas. I understand that this was a workaround to improve table performance for large datasets, and that this was removed once the underlying performance issues were addressed. Nonetheless, it is a very useful feature and would be nice to have returned.
