Description
The algorithm "points along line" do not works on LTR version. The generic error is "The data source is not valid ()".
Same behaviour on linux (ubuntu 16.04 and ubuntu 18.04), windows 7 and windows 10.
Affected also v. 2.18.25
On QGIS 3.4.1 the command works fine.

Please test with QGIS 3.4 - QGIS 2.18 reached it's end of life.

2.18 reached its end of life. Tool works fine in 3.4 and master
