Description
A Keyboard shortcut for selection (alternative to left button click with the mouse, ie., Ctrl+Enter) would
be handy for, for example, checking or selecting features at using qgis in the field.

Hi Agus,
maybe I have not understand your request, but the possibility to set a shortcut for "select features" in "edit -> configure shortcuts" is not enough? Please reopen if I am wrong.

Yes, but as someone else mentioned in the list, some shortcuts must
be enabled by default. I suggest having 2 sets of defaults: one
for office use (where using the mouse is convenient) and another
one for field use (where using the mouse or the pad must
be avoided as much as possible). I would enable this shortcut
by default for field use.
(Also, note that my comments are based on 1.1.0, so no
chance to test "edit -> configure shortcuts" yet, looking forward
to it!)
