Description
For now you can't add a layer from postgis table with GEOMETRY column type from "Add PostGIS Table" dialog.
It would be great to have an option to add such tables as layers to the project by choosing geometry type manually, so that all unmatching geometry is just filtered out.
QGIS has similar feature for multigeometry formats like DXF, TAB etc, so I guess it'd be relatively easy to add this option to postgis format.

That's already available. If you have a geometry column without geometry constraint you are offered a line without a preset geometry type and have to choose a geometry type before you can select the line.
