Description
Plugins are useless for others that uses special characters in their language. In Scandinavia we have the same english alphabet + three extra chars. The attribute tables sometimes looks like hieroglyphs and the plugin is then totally useless.
The last plugin I tried and found useless is was MMQGIS - Combine - Merge Layers.
May I suggest a certain quality control before a plugin can be used in QGIS?
I started to use QGIS two weeks ago and was planning to donate but there is some irritating and unnecessary shortcomings.

Which plugin?
#2 Updated by Henning Rekvik almost 10 years ago
<MMQGIS - Combine - Merge Layers>. I used <Vector - Data Mamangement Tools - Merge Shapefiles to One..> instead. I also read on the net about the lack of encoding settings for qgis plugins, but I can't find it.

Please open tickets on all relevant plugins, and close this one, as I do not believe this is a general QGIS issue.
