Setting radius units to meters produces incorrect results

Description
To reproduce use airport.shp from the QGIS sample data. It uses a CRS with units ft-us.
When configuring a radius in meters, the results are same as specifying the same value in map units. The computations always use the value in feet.
(Tested using today's nightly OSGeo4W)
